The "Billabong" Double Hoop Earrings Small are the smaller version of the Billabong double hoops, initially created for a customer and then replicated a few times that it entered the standard collection. They are a trendy statement pair of hand-finished minimal geometrical pair of earrings, but smaller for everyday life or those who still wants to make an impression but are not used to bigger pieces.
What is also special about them is the contrast between the polished small circle and the hand-worked circles. Such a finish is achieved with the use of sandpaper.
They are inspired by Australia and its billabongs. Billabong is an Aboriginal word which stands for "a branch of a river forming a backwater or stagnant pool, made by water flowing from the main stream during a flood".
